Pascal is a programming language that was developed in the 1970 by Niklaus Wirth. It was based on the ALGOL programming language, and was created mainly to teach students good, solid, structured programming techniques. Pascal is named such in honor of the great mathematician, Blaise Pascal, the one who made the first working calculator.
